Week 4 | Introduction and Diagnostic Test: This month begins with an overview of the PTE test format and sections (Speaking & Writing, Reading, Listening). You will learn about scoring criteria and band descriptors, and take an initial assessment to identify your strengths and weaknesses. Speaking Skills (Part 1): We will focus on your personal introduction, structuring responses, and practising fluency. Techniques for clear pronunciation and accurate repetition will be covered through 'Read Aloud' and 'Repeat Sentence' exercises. Speaking Skills (Part 2): Next, you will learn strategies for describing visuals and summarising spoken text in 'Describe Image' and 'Re-tell Lecture'. You will also practise concise and accurate answers for 'Answer Short Question'. Writing Skills (Part 1): This section covers summarising written text, with techniques and practice to ensure precision. You will also complete timed writing exercises with feedback. |

You will receive personalised feedback on your essay-writing exercises. Reading Skills (Part 1): You will learn reading strategies such as skimming, scanning, and understanding various question types. Techniques for multiple-choice questions, reordering paragraphs, and filling in the blanks will be practised. Reading Skills (Part 2): Integrated skills practice will combine reading tasks with other skills, with timed reading exercises and detailed feedback to help you improve. Listening Skills (Part 1): Note-taking, identifying main ideas, and specific details will be covered in listening strategies.
